Point Pleasant, a Newcastle based PR and communications company, is currently looking for a Marketing Assistant for Germany. They work with a range of clients in the North East and internationally, with around 70 percent of business coming from the entertainment sector. A tight-knit team with a passion for simple and effective communications and Point Pleasant work hard to excel on behalf of their clients.
Due to a recent new contract with an entertainment business that’s expanding into the German market, they’re looking for a German native or someone who speaks the language fluently to help them manage the launch. A key part of the job description will be copywriting for the website and marketing materials, with PR, IT, marketing and business development elements also included in the day-to-day role.
Ideally the successful applicant will have German as a native language or be fluent enough to write copy in a local style. The copywriting role will include a mix of translation and original text, so a good knowledge of formal and informal German, colloquialisms, etc would be a distinct advantage. The role will initially be on a short-term internship basis, although longer-term opportunities may exist for the right candidate.
Full guidance will be provided on the client and the website, including target customers, the products to be featured and the style required. The opportunity will also exist to get involved with PR and marketing activities for the client if the successful candidate wishes to enhance their skills in these areas.
